Butet Rubber Reins

The Butet Rubber Reins are made from beautiful grained leather to match the Butet saddles. The rubber is stitched inside with nylon to give a beautiful supple feel, meaning that the reins don’t feel bulky in the hand. Also featuring attractive leather martingale stoppers, these reins will complete the look of your new Butet bridle.

These Butet Rubber Reins:

• Are available in two widths; 1/2″ and 5/8″. Generally the 1/2″ suit a child or adult with small hands. The 5/8″ would be a standard width
• Have stainless steel buckles
• Have white stitching
• Are available in Gold or Cachou
• Are available in Cob or Full size

Please note that the gold reins are unoiled (as are the Butet bridles). This means that the leather of the reins and bridle will match, but they could be significantly lighter than the colour of your gold Butet saddle. This is because the saddles are oiled before they leave the factory whereas the bridles are not. To darken the leather, we recommend using Butet Akene Oil which should be applied with a brush.

We recommend that you use Butet products to care for the leather. We suggest Butet Akene Saddle Soap after each use and Butet Akene Leather Cream once a week.
