NEW Butet Anatomic Breastplate

The NEW Butet Anatomic Breastplate is a beautiful quality leather breastplate, designed to match the Butet saddle and bridle. All of the Butet bridle work has been re-designed which includes the Butet Anatomic Breastplate. Now made from smooth leather as opposed to grained leather, all of the leatherwork is designed to better match the Butet leather colour from day one.

The breastplate is lined with soft calfskin padding, features a bridge over the neck and includes a running martingale attachment. The anatomic design of the breastplate gives freedom for the shoulders, with the shape curving over the shoulder. The breastplate is adjustable between the legs, on the strap running to the girth on each side and on the bridge itself meaning it is easy to achieve the perfect fit. We find that this is the perfect design to prevent a saddle from slipping as anchoring a saddle from the girth rather than the saddle D rings is much more effective.

We recommend Butet cleaning products to take care of your breastplate. Butet Akene Soap should be used to clean it after each use and Butet Akene Cream used weekly to condition the leather.
