NEW Butet Short Comfort Girth with Clip

This NEW Butet Girth with Clip is handmade in the Butet workshop in Saumur, France. Made of grained leather and lined with sumptuous, soft calfskin, it has a D ring and a carabiner clip.This new design features a sturdy leather clip guard, to prevent the horse from catching the carabiner clip with a stud or shoe. This features a magnetic closure. It has Butet brown elastic and roller buckles to avoid damage to the girth straps. This girth can be used for dressage or jumping – the shape of it offers some protection from studs, though not as much as a Butet Stud Guard would offer. Please note – this is a brand new product so we don’t have a huge amount of stock, so most size and colour options will need to be ordered. If you need a girth urgently, we have the older version (without the clip guard) on sale here

• Available in Cachou with Cachou or White Stitching or Gold with White Stitching from stock

Please note that the because the outside of this girth – the grained leather – is different to the calfskin top flap that the Butet monoflap has, the girth can look lighter than the monoflap. The girth will tone down with use and cleaning – and you can speed this process up by using the Butet Akene Oil, which can be found here

When looked after, Butet leather will last a very long time. We recommend cleaning daily with Butet Akene Soap after removing the dirt and a weekly condition with Butet Akene Cream You can find our full range of leather care products here
